YES Programme

a training programme for life skills in household and community settings

From the moment a young adult with special needs steps out of school after graduation, it is the beginning of changes and challenges.  Not returning to the familiar school-setting and seeing familiar faces after summer can be distressing to some, not to mention facing the challenges of new places, routines, structure and expectations.  Smooth transitioning from school to community helps the young adults get ready for even more challenging future in life.

YES Programme is our original programme designed for young adults with moderate needs. Young adults learn and practice skills needed for independence and build skills in community living.

We make a difference by putting into practice:

  • person-centred, needs-driven and goal-oriented training
  • high staff-to-trainee ratio
  • small group instruction
  • close communications and relationships with families
  • use of local social services
  • community exposure
  • transition planning for next steps
  • social worker support
